This pocket of posh is installed in a former town palace dating from the 1700s that once belonged to Italian princes. The stylish boutique hotel, filled with Baroque embellishments and Biedermeier antiques, is still so opulent you'd think the nobles were still in residence. Modern hotel comforts have been discreetly installed. The spacious bedrooms are lavishly decorated, filled with art work that seemingly belongs in a museum, and much use made of four-poster beds, velvet sofas, and brocaded wallpaper. The most spectacular bedroom is called Himmelbett Room or "Heaven's Bed," although the Rose Room and the Blue Room are also lavishly decorated.
