A small boutique resort, with an excellent spa, Layana offers contemporary accommodations close to the ocean and a grand pool uniquely calibrated to the same salinity as human tears. Each room has an open, airy feel with lush decor of hard woods, silks, and local art. It's a tad less pricey than the competitors, but if you don't need the glamour, it's still a good bet.
