NileGuide Expert tip:
A great place to meet up-and-coming local artists.
Palate Palette is a vibrant restaurant, bar and lounge which doubles up as an equally exciting art space. When inside, you get a great vibe of the entire place - from its décor, staff, the type of events hosted here and the eclectic crowd mix. The bar and restaurant are always busy and carry artworks by local artists Fahmi Fadzil, Norman Teh and Alicia Yeo. Palate Palette also screens a variety of films, in their upper lounge – ranging from cult classics and mushy love stories to art pieces and documentaries. Screenings are absolutely free. You can expect freshly popped curry and seaweed popcorn on movie nights. Flash your tattoo on Ink & Drink nights (every Wednesday) to enjoy happy hour goodness all night long. For your viewing pleasure – watch Nanci the Bohemian Barbiedoll shake and groove. Most nights at Palate Palette, you'll be rubbing shoulders with fashionistas and the arty, indie crowd.
