Kid-friendly Things to Do in Kuala Lumpur

  • The Best of NileGuide
  • Kuala Lumpur is excellent for kids. It has everything a family could want in an urban adventure, from world-class museums to great shopping and fabulous parks. And like any city worth visiting, KL has plenty of landmarks for some quality sightseeing. The city is outfitted with all the modern amenities that make travel with kids a breeze. Kuala Lumpur pulsates with a child-friendly vibe. KL'ites love children - their lifestyles tend to be very child-oriented. Our top pick has got to be a trip up to the Petronas Twin Towers Skybridge. It's a great destination for kids, especially since they get to ride the high speed lift that zooms up to the bridge. They can stroll along the glass-encased pathway some 170 meters above ground. Kids will be rewarded with fantastic views of KL city. Within the same area, you can find our number-two pick, Aquaria KLCC. We love it as it combines two things kids love - loads of fish and unique exhibits but the main highlight is the glass tunnel that gives kids a grand view into Nemo's world. Within the same area is the Petrosains, an interactive science museum and the sprawling KLCC Park, both of which have made it onto our top ten list. The KLCC Park, part of the prestigious KLCC development area, has the biggest collection of plastic swings, slides and tunnels in the city. If you have time, be sure to go out of the city for an unforgettable time with the fireflies at Kuala Selangor. This comes highly recommended as children of all ages will find this to be a very magical experience.
