    • It's a brave thing to change a successful formula but Lafite has pulled it off. This is no surprise as Lafite is one of the best and most established fine dining restaurants in KL. They've done away with molecular gastronomy and have replaced it with classic dishes. The menu remains European, with an emphasis on seafood. New chef, Georg Schroppel produces delicious, more accessible food such as butter-poached Brittany lobster with seared foie gras; and Wagyu beef tenderloin. Top class wines are picked to complement each dish. Lunchtime brings out an expertly-crafted selection of sweets to the dessert showcase (buffet). Lafite's dining room echoes modern casual with an open concept seating. Lafite is the type of restaurant reserved for celebrating special occasions.

    • Expensive,but very good service, good food. Popular with local and expatriates. Located in the Shangrila Hotel in Kuala Lumpur city center. Wide range of western cuisine.
