- Get introduced to Batik at the Craft Complex and turn your visit to the city into a creative, crafty one. All you have to do is don an apron and be open to letting your creative juices flow. It's a great activity for kids or the whole family. Run by three charming ladies, this workshop gets participants to draw and design their own patterns and pictures on squares of silk and cotton. Kids will especially love tracing over one of the many templates of super heroes, princesses, elephants and flowers before they pick colorful dyes to paint with. The artisans will apply wax using a canting and 5 minutes later, you can paint on the fabric. The result – brightly colored and patterned textiles through tie-dyeing of t-shirts and handkerchiefs. Better yet, you can wear your fashionable masterpieces home for all to admire.
