  • Browse the many art galleries that are mushrooming around the city. Do pop into the Annexe Gallery at the Central Market – the hippest space for the arts with plenty of exciting art exhibitions, performances and workshops that feature up and coming local talents. The gallery hosts the Arts for Grabs, a great event to purchase original art at wholesale prices (some pieces go for as low as RM100/ US$33). Other galleries that deserve a visit include the Gallery at Starhill - a grand space for art enthusiasts. Also pop into Pucuk Rebung Gallery and Museum (at the Suria Shopping Complex) for Malay antiques and fabric or Wei Ling Gallery in Brickfields for some contemporary, local art housed in a stylishly converted pre-war townhouse.
