I would like to know if there is any good but cheap hotel to stay near Renaissance hotel on Jalan Ampang.
And, please suggest me good and cheap vehicle to travel from KL International Airport to this area. Thanks so much! I go on a very tight budget..

Is within 15-20 minutes walking distance from Renaissance Hotel.
From KL International Airport you can take Skybus to KL Central and then
take the LRT to Masjid Jamek LRT Station. The Skybus cost is RM 9 one way
and the LRT from KL Sentral to Masjud Jamek Station is RM 1.30.

Yess... there is.. a cheap hotel... nearby.. RM 70.00 per night..
If you bring 1 or 2 bags.. I suggest u take a bus from KL International Hotel to Kuala Lumpur then take a train to this place......its more cheaper.. Do keep in touch me this is my e-mail: dinosima@yahoo.com

you can try a budget hotel around bukit bintang area..because at that area have a lot of hotel waiting you for choose.
From KL international airport, you just take a bus to KL central the distance around 1 hours, after that from KL central, you take a monorail go to bukit bintang,why i suggest you stay at bukit bintang area, because at bukit bintang there have a lot of hotel start from lower class until high class, and bukit bintang is a central of the KL.

Hi Karen,
There are hardly any hotel along Jalan Ampang that suggest good but cheap. However not too far away you may find Tune Hotels a budget hotel run by budget airline AirAsia. Just look for the one located at downtown KL along Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman at this website http://www.tunehotels.com/.
The fastest not the cheapest way to the city center is via the express train. It's RM35 per journey and takes only 28mins to the city. Recommended for its convenience. If you are not travelling alone, might as well take the taxi which will drop you right at any hotel. Cheapest way would be shuttle bus. Don't have details on that though but the journey may take up to 1hr.
