Yes, it's true. Alcohol is illegal in Kuwait City. But have no fear, there are tons of things to do once the sun sets on this fine city. From theater to live music to movies, there's always something fun at night. If you're into theater, check out the schedule of Kuwait Elizabethans, which performs classical Shakespeare plays year round. If you'd like to check out a movie, head to Al Sharqia Cinema or Al Muhallab. Both theaters are stunningly large and play a wide array of movies each night. The Sha'ab Theater is also a very popular choice in the area.
For a bit of live music, some of the local restaurants feature performers, making for a great late dinner. In particular, the Tarbouche Lebanese Restaurant is a great choice. Even though there are no bars or nightclubs in Kuwait City, you'll be surprised at how many fun things there are to do at night.
