  • The Best of NileGuide

  • Night time is party time and exploring Kyoto's bars and clubs is the perfect way to cap a busy day. Bar isn't it, may seem like strange name for party place but it happens to be one of the best-known bars in Kyoto. It's located in a basement and a typical wild weekend can see as many as 500 people grooving on the dance floor. Foreigners like going to Pig & Whistle a traditional, English-style pub where you can play darts or enjoy a drink by the bar. The fashionable set are the regular clients at Zac Baran 2. The beverage menu includes draft and imported beers like Guinness and Corona as well as solid wine list. Another interesting bar is simply called D', and not even the bar staff can explain the origin of its hip name. Drop in for a drink with friends, although the place gets full very fast, mostly because it only has 18 seats. Listen to samba, funk and bossa nova while having a drink at Bar Zinho, a Brazilian bar located in North Kyoto. Besides killer shots of Brazilian liquor, it also serves cheap, cold draft beer.
