- Pub Africa is a long-standing institution of a bar here in Kyoto. It was one of the first downtown places where foreign residents met on a regular basis. The atmosphere here is brilliant with people of all ages having a good time. It has an American like feel to it with brilliant music and some yummy food served. The crowd is mostly young college students and office goers. The have quite a god collection of drinks and the menu too isnt bad with dishes like curry, Udon noodles, egg sandwich, Bacon, pork sausage, small pizza & salads.
