- Apollo Plus is a good example of what is called Shin Washoku cuisine: light, vegetable and fish based with fabulous sauces to complement the food textures. It also sports wonderful interior design. If possible, sit at the counter where the owner is working away. Not much English spoken here, but pointing will always work. Conveniently located on Sanjo Street in the heart of the city. Think about $40 per person with beer or sake included. Reservations a good idea by phoning 075-253-6605.
