Kushiya Monogatari

Description:

• This is the first all-you-can-eat, do-it-yourself kushiyaki restaurant I've seen. After choosing skewers of chicken, beef, salmon, scallops, fish, mushrooms, onions, potatoes, and other meats and vegetables from refrigerated cases, you cook them yourself by dipping them in a paste, covering them with bread crumbs and then deep frying them at your table (there are English-language instructions to help you along). There's also rice, noodles, and a dessert and salad bar. Gluttony is restricted to 90 minutes, and you can add all-you-can-drink alcohol and soft drinks for an additional ¥1,050 ($8.75/£4.40).
