Mekhong

• Situated in the north of the city, Mehkong can take a bit of finding. A curving rattan ceiling, candle-lit tables, ethnic art and a selection of Southeast Asian nibbles to choose from means you have found it. Sample the Thai beer and rice whisky and relax into the night on the pavement tables. The interior is all bamboo and rattan and hundreds of candles. Quite a risky mix you would have thought but there is an attentive staff on hand to keep an eye on things. The interior decor is in fact tastefully arranged with some fine South East Asian artifacts
