Description:
If you're hungering for tempura, this restaurant has a sign in English and is easy to find. Located in an old-fashioned part of Kyoto that boasts a number of expensive ryokan, it's a tiny, intimate place with a traditional atmosphere. The tempura counter, where you can watch the chefs prepare delicate deep-fried morsels, seats only 12. Meals served in tatami rooms, with views of an expansive garden (lit at night), are more expensive.
