• Visitors who want to enjoy the local culture and an opportunity to pick up some excellent souvenirs will want to make this event an item on the itinerary. For four days both sides of Gojo, between the Kamo River and Higashioji, house stalls selling the ceramics of local artisans as well as some of the more famous from all over Japan. It is an excellent place to pick up bargains as prices are as much as 30-50 percent lower than normal. During the fair, there is a daily performance of imperial court dance and music from 10am at the Wakamiya Hachimangu Shrine.
