• Izumiya is a mid-ranking, no-frills department store that began business in 1920 and tends to locate its branches a little removed from downtown areas. This four-storey outlet has good groceries, bakeries and other foods on the ground floor. It is mostly ladies' fashions on the second floor. Men's and kiddies' clothing, books and small household goods are on the third floor, and larger household goods, audio-visual equipment, stationary, an optician and furniture can be found on the top level. There is parking for both cars and bicycles, and often free or cheap delivery is available.
