The traditional method of embellishing royal robes has its roots in Korea and China. The Japanese artisans often add printed designs to the embroidery. Enjoy a sample of Yatsuhashi-an, a traditional Kyoto confectionery made from beans which has a distinctive cinnamon flavor.
