    • Part of the La Crosse County Historical Society, Hixon House is listed as a National Historic Landmark due to the fact that it contains an astonishing 90% of its original furnishings. Quite a feat,considering it is over 100 years old.

      The Victorian home was built by a lumber baron. He spared no expense, adding beautiful woodwork and lavish decor. Tours last an hour and cost $8.00 for adults, $5.50for students, and $4.00 for children 12 and under.

      Open 10:00AM to 5:00PM most days of the week.
