Catedral Metropolitana de La Plata 'Inmaculada Concepción'

Description:

  • The Cathedral of La Plata is an example of Neo-Gothic architecture and is one of the largest cathedrals in the world. While the foundations for the cathedral were laid in 1884, it was constructed over a period of 114 years which ended in 1999. Today the grand brick structure, complete with a brilliant facade and two giant towers of 112 meters each, is an awe-inspiring sight. This magnificent catholic cathedral stands tall at the heart of the city and is one of the most famous tourist destinations in the Buenos Aires province.
