Description:

  • The Mandeville Auditorium is a performing arts venue at La Jolla's University of California San Diego campus. The auditorium is off the beaten path, pleasantly hidden by a grove of Eucalyptus trees. It is a single-level 788-seat venue—a huge space with continental style seating, with no center aisle ideal for concerts and musicals. The auditorium hosts the UCSD Art Power performing arts season which is a showcase for dance and contemporary world music. Although the UCSD Department of Music formerly used the auditorium and adjacent smaller halls for all concerts, the new Conrad Prebys Music Center is used for most of them. However, Mandeville is still very busy with other events at UCSD --- the Department of Music concerts represent only a portion of total performing arts events on campus.
