    • Location. The Grande Colonial Hotel stands adjacent to La Jolla Village shops and restaurants in La Jolla, Calif. La Jolla Cove is located one block away. Torrey Pines Beach is one mile from the hotel. The high-tech/biotech industries known as the Golden Triangle are located six miles away.
      Hotel Features. Retaining its distinctive 1900s architectural style, the hotel features a marble-clad lobby decorated with antiques, floral slip-covered and leather club chairs, a marble fireplace, and French doors that open to reveal an ocean-view terrace and garden pool. The contemporary Nine-Ten restaurant and bar features local artisans' harvests, an extensive wine list, and indoor or sidewalk seating. More than 5,000 square feet of function space accommodates events. Complimentary wireless Internet access is provided throughout the hotel. The heated, garden pool provides outdoor recreation.

      Guestrooms. Grand Colonial Hotel features 93 nonsmoking guestrooms and suites in the 5-story main building and 3 adjacent suite wings. Rooms are decorated in European style. Sea-green and Pacific-blue color schemes echo the California coastline's natural setting. Beds are dressed with 300-thread count linens, and goose-down comforters and pillows. Bathrooms contain Gilchrist & Soames toiletries, Kashwere bathrobes, slippers and make-up mirrors. Laptop-compatible, in-room safes are complimentary. Rooms include 32-inch LCD televisions, iHome clock radios, and complimentary high-speed wired and wireless Internet access. Select rooms offer full kitchens or kitchenettes, and bathrooms with showers only.

      Expert Tip. The hotel provides discounted passes to the La Jolla Sports Club located one block away.

      Great break from a full day of business

    • Hotel was excellent, especially the staff was excellent and went out of their way to help me with some printing and scanning. The location is also fantastic. Would stay here again.

      Small but charming
