    • If you don't feel like dropping huge dollars at one of La Jolla's signature hotels but still want some glitz, this property is a nice compromise. Although not in the village, it is within walking distance to the restaurants and the beach at La Jolla Shores (the hotel also offers a complimentary shuttle to both the village and the Shores). This 11-story hotel has 108 rooms, some with balconies; if you want a room with an ocean view, try to get something above the fourth floor. The top floor is occupied by Clay's La Jolla, a pricey restaurant and lounge that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner and offers spectacular views and live jazz.

      new look is amazing...loved it

    • renovated hotel (was there pre and post) is sooo cool! great views, room set up, etc. loved the staff, and the shuttle to the beach!

      Service at a tipping point

    • The hotel is located in what is known as the beach area although you would not know that from the grounds, the hotel is located at a well traveled intersection with no direct site line...

      Loved it!

    • Location - just a few blocks walk from La Jolla Shores beach (sure beats looking for parking around there). We left our car at the hotel parking lot for our 2 night stay ($15/night)...
