  • A Tahoe five-star restaurant usually comes with a five-star view of the lake or the mountains and these restaurants will prove it. One of the best views of them all (and a great menu) is the Edgewood Restaurant at the Edgewood Golf Course on the East Shore. Right from your table you will get a fantastic view of their private beach, the blue water and the mountains. The service and selection at Edgewood is also excellent.

    Other restaurants around the lake will offer up five-star service as well. Head up the Kingsbury Grade to eat at the luxurious Chart House. This place offers seafood and a wonderful view of the lake as well as a Hot Chocolate Lava Cake. If you are in the mood for some authentic French or Asian food, head over to Le Petit Pier or the Soule Domain in North Tahoe or La Ferme down in Genoa.

    For something different, get your melted cheese on at La Fondue in Incline Village. For another great view, try the Cottonwood Restaurant which has a view of downtown Truckee, the railroad and the mountains around Donner Lake. While you are down in Truckee, try the excellent country Italian food at Pianeta (Italian for planet) right in old town Truckee. Their Caesar Salad is wonderful. The drive to Adele's in Carson City is a little out of the way, but so worth it for their extensive menu and wonderful service.
