Boutique - Lake Tahoe Hotels

  • Sometimes you want something different than the regular hotel chain: a little personal attention in a hotel or location that is off the beaten track. There are various boutique hotels in the Lake Tahoe area that fit the bill.

    Get off the main road and into the country without leaving the local scene by going to the Lazy S Lodge in South Shore, or the Cottage Inn at Lake Tahoe and the River Ranch Lodge on the West Shore. Both are in quiet areas of the lake. If you want a little breakfast with your bed, stay at Hania's Bed and Breakfast Inn or the historic River Street Inn which are both in Truckee. Other bed and breakfasts include the Mayfield House Bed and Breakfast and the Knotty Pine Bed and Breakfast on the West Shore or the rustic Fireside Lodge on the South Shore.

    For something different, stay at the green 968 Park Hotel. This hotel is known for their endless effort for environmental preservation. For a little more room, try the Lodge at Kingsbury Crossing with their kitchenette suites.
