Kid-friendly - Lake Tahoe Hotels

  • Kids deserve to have as much fun as the adults up at the lake. Several hotels around the area have kid-friendly rooms, restaurants and activities that might make their parents want to join in.

    The Hyatt in Incline Village has a camp specifically for families staying at the hotel. In summer, kids can go swimming, do arts and crafts and go for a nature walk. In winter, snowshoeing, group games and roasting marshmallows is on the schedule. Also on the North Shore is the Rustic Cottage Resort near Tahoe Vista. These cottages are warm and clean with a bit of western history. They are right next to the lake and a local beach.

    On the West Side, kids can stay and play at the Northstar at Tahoe Village or have some fun with the themed decor at the Cottage Inn at Lake Tahoe. In South Shore, kids can have tons of room and access to the lake and the private beaches at the Tahoe Seasons Resort and the Tahoe Keys Resort. The Avalon Lodge is a few blocks away from Heavenly Village and the Inn by the Lake is across the street from the South Lake Tahoe Recreation Area. For a value for both parents and kids, stay at the Embassy Suites in Stateline. Heavenly Village's shopping, skiing and ice skating is right next door, as well as golfing at Edgewood down the street.
