Fishing is one of the more quiet sports at Lake Tahoe, but still one of the most popular.
Up at the lake you can take a boat out for some deep water fishing, or score a perfect spot on the Truckee River or at the various creeks around the area. If you are interested in chartering a boat, try the Tahoe Sport Fishing Co. They will take you out with all the gear to catch various forms of trout and maybe even a salmon.
Learn to fly fish at the Resort at Squaw Creek or with the Tahoe Fly Fishing Outfitters. Grab a spot on the Truckee River, the Little Truckee River or some of the outlying lakes of the area including Donner Lake, Boca, Stampede or Washoe Lake.
