For fantastic views of Donner Lake, stay at the Donner Lake Village Resort with accommodations that range from lodge rooms with queen size beds and fold out sleeper sofas to two bedroom, two bath town homes. Close to Squaw Valley and right on Truckee River is River Ranch Lodge, an intimate mountain retreat and an ideal place for winter and summer vacations. Situated far from crowd, the lodge only has 19 rooms. The fine River Ranch Restaurant serves dinner nightly year-round.
