Fallen Leaf Lake
Fallen Leaf Lake is about one mile from South Lake Tahoe. For visitors who might be tired of the Tahoe summer crowds, Fallen Leaf is a great little escape. The 415 feet deep alpine lake does not have a lot of parking, but if you get there early, you can enjoy a quiet walk around the lake, or a hike up the Middle Trail to Mt. Tallac, one of the tallest peaks above Lake Tahoe.
