Bayview Campground

• Bayview Campground is located on the South Eastern Shore of Lake Tahoe opposite of Emerald Bay on Highway 89. The city of South Lake Tahoe is 10 minutes away and the casinos of Stateline, Nevada are only 25 minutes away. It is smack dab in the middle of one of the most beautiful places on the lake.
  
  The campground is located above Emerald Bay. None of the sites have a bay view, as the name would imply, but you can access Inspiration Point across the road for spectacular views of Emerald Bay. This camp is in a good location in the center of everything to do at Emerald Bay. There is a trailhead in the back of the campground leading into the Desolation Wilderness. Eagle Falls trailhead is 1/2 mile north, and Vikingsholm is just another 1/2 mile further.
  
  Most of the camp sites are close together, offering little privacy. This is typical of most Tahoe camps. Very popular during the summer weekends because of its proximity to all the South Shore amenities.
