• The best way to catch the famous Lahontan Cutthroat Trout is by boat. This family-run charter service provides all the equipment at a reasonable price. Bring your minnow lures or black and purple woolly worms; bait fishing is not allowed and the limit is two fish per day. The trout are always active, and owner George Molino knows all the best spots; its not uncommon to see nine-pound trout on your line. There is a two-person minimum, and fishing permits are not included in the price.
