Description:
- Green Valley Trail is a very difficult 2.25 mile long, lightly used trail at an elevation of 4,080 feet. This trail accesses the North Fork of the American River. There is a 2,240 foot change in elevation in the 2.4 mile hike, so one should be in good physical condition. It is possible to continue down river for a short way or cross the river and travel upstream into Green Valley and through private property. However, these sections of trail are not maintained by the Forest Service and may be difficult to follow in places.
