- Ramshorn Campground is located 15 miles northeast of Camptonville at an elevation of 2,600 feet. This campground has 16 campsites, 7 of which have space for trailers. Supplies are available at Downieville.

Garden Point Campground
- Garden Point Campground is located 1 mile northwest of Dark Day Boat Ramp on the north side of the Reservoir at an elevation of 1,965 feet. This campground can only be accessed by boat. There are 16 sites and toilets.

- Poppy Campground is located on the northwest shore of French Meadows Reservoir at an elevation of 5,300 feet. This campground has 12 campsites. There are no toilets, no drinkable water and no trash removal.
