Saddleback Scenic Drive

Description:

• Saddleback Loop is approximately 50 miles long, beginning at Indian Valley, through Cal-Ida, Eureka, Saddleback Lookout, Devil's Post Pile, to Downieville and back on Hwy. #49. This loop offer the opportunity to hike on Fiddle Creek Trail, Brandy City Pond Trail, visit Brandy City Pond, visit the Indian Fire area, hike on Halls Ranch Trail, visit the Eureka Diggins area, visit the Devil's Postpile, hike on the Devil's Postpile Trail and visit the Saddleback Lookout. After this site continue to Hwy. #49 and return to Indian Valley.

  It is very easy to get lost on this trail so follow the directions carefully and keep track of the odometer on you vehicle.

  There are no restrooms, food services or drinking water are available on this loop, so plan accordingly.
