• Thermal Sky Sports will teaches hang gliding, does tandem hang gliding and sells and services hang gliding equipment. Most of their launches take place at the edge of Slide Mountain and you will soar near Lake Tahoe and down into Washoe Valley. A typical tandem flight lasts about 15-25 minutes and the instructor will teach you how to fly the glider.
  
  You can also learn ground towing, training hill lessons, and solo soaring. Costs range from $220-$250 for a tandem flight, $35 for HD photos of your flight or $55 for a video with music. Thermal Sky flies every day when the conditions are good and discounts are available for groups, students, veterans and Reno/Tahoe locals.
