    The cross-country course has more than 90 trails, 28 of which are novice level, and the longest trail is 22-kilometers. Features include 9,172 acres of stunning terrain, 10 warming huts and a shuttle service that will pick you up when you get tired. Group and private lessons are available.

    Description:

    The Strawberry Canyon system encompasses 11 miles of cross-country ski trails for beginner to intermediate cross-country skiers. The area has restroom facilities,a trailhead information sign, and limited public parking. One route is the Strawberry Ridge Loop, Distance: 5.0 miles or 8 kilometer. Elevation: 5,600 - 6,800 feet. Difficulty: Easy to Moderate. Trail begins at 42-Mile Recreation Site and continues west (right) from the trailhead information sign at an elevation of 5,600 feet. One-half mile further the trail passes over Strawberry Creek bridge, turns south (left) in a one way loop crossing over a ridge top (rated more difficult) at an elevation of 6,800 feet and returns to Strawberry Creek bridge, for a distance of 4 miles.

    Description:

    Sugar Pine Point State Park is located along the west shore of Lake Tahoe. It offers many miles of cross-country ski trails. Visit the Ehrman Mansion or ski along frozen General Creek. Four marked easy to moderate trails are offered in this historic area. Snowmobiles are NOT allowed. From Tahoma travel south on Highway 89 to Sugar Pine Point State Park.     Description:

    This trail is a great spot for a family outing or a place where you can be alone. In the spring, the wildflowers carpet the scenery in copious abundance and their scents almost empower one with a burst of energy. The variety of plant life changes with the seasons yet is always spectacular. This scenic trail is about 12-miles round-trip and provides an opportunity to see wildlife inhabiting the area.  During the winter the meadows are a great place to cross country ski, snowshoe and sled. Dogs are welcome on this trail.
