When the wind causes white-outs at other resorts, Northstar will likely be unaffected. The whole resort is first class!
Truly a skier's paradise, this resort offers a wide range of activities and events for everyone. You can even find mountain photographers that will capture your best run on the slope. You can enjoy recreational racing, cross country runs and snowshoeing. Ski at the crack of dawn with a Fast Track pass. If you're not an early riser, then Polaris Park is just for you. The adventure park is located mid-mountain and has something for everyone after the sun goes down.
For you Olympic fans, Northstar now offers the West Coasts only biathlon range. Ski and shoot to your heart's content, or sign up for biathlon lessons.
A day of skiing can work up a big hunger, so don't forget to try one of the five restaurants located on the mountain. For the warmer months, Northstar also opens up a Mountain Bike Park offering more than 100 miles of trails. The resort also contains a golf course and driving range, a Tennis Center and offers several activities including horseback riding, fly-fishing and hiking.

A great family place. The kids will love it. CB's Pizza and Grill have an event called Dessert Pizza. In this game, children outfitted with frosting and candy will compete to see who can decorate the best sugar cookie. Although a winner will be declared, every child gets a prize. They also have TV's and video games for that TV dinner feel. Patio dining is also available with nice lake views. Call for opening hours.
When your wrestle yourself out of your comfortable bed at the Falcon Lodge head to Sierra Bagel Factory for some bagels, sandwiches and pizza if that's what you want for breakfast. As long as the snowfall cooperates, a snowmobile may be the easiest way to explore wintertime Lake Tahoe's hills and trails. Enjoy a holiday guided tour through the wintry landscape. The mid-week tours include appropriate snow gear provided free of charge; on weekends and holidays bring your own or pay an additional fee. Helmets are always included. Reservations are recommended.
