The Beauty Bar's decor is from a 1960s-era beauty salon, right down to the helmet-style hair-dryer chairs. Its Las Vegas location doesn't give actual manicures like its outposts in other cities, for some reason related to the State of Nevada's Cosmetology Board's regulations. The Beauty Bar doesn't have any gaming, nor does it serve food, although you'll regularly find one of the Las Vegas food trucks parked outside. Beauty Bar is one a handful of downtown Las Vegas bars that cater to locals, hipsters, and tourists looking for something different from the Strip's glitz.Like most of the establishments in the Fremont East District, Beauty Bar is busiest during the monthly Arts District festival, First Friday. The rest of the time, you're unlikely to find a crowd here. The Beauty Bar sometimes charges a modest cover, but many times there is no cover charge.
