Criss Angel: Believe with Cirque de Soliel

• Flashy set pieces with magicians aren't unfamiliar territory to Vegas, though the city hasn't seen anything along the huge budget lines since the abrupt departure of Seigfried & Roy. That's all set to change with the arrival (in fall 2008) of this collaboration between charismatic Angel and the always eye-catching Cirque. While "plot" may be too strong a word to associate with a Cirque production, this does promise a narrative of sorts, probably paying dream-like homage to Angel's love of Houdini (as does the title). Given Angel's penchant for hypnotic fantastical illusions and escapist scenarios and the Cirque's own surreal human-generated special effects, this could well be a thrilling show, an organic mélange of artistic visions, not to mention an updated version of Vegas razzle-dazzle. Friday through Tuesday 7 and 10pm.
