  • Las Vegas restaurants were once synonymous with midnight steak specials and cheap buffets, but those days are long gone. Foodies now have a wide selection of famous chefs to investigate. No longer a restaurant backwater, Las Vegas has emerged as a destination for the serious food lover.

The most celebrated and awarded Las Vegas restaurant is also one of the city's most expensive. Joel Robuchon, at the MGM Grand, is the only 3 Star Michelin Guide Winner in Las Vegas. Its traditional French menu is extremely expensive, but serious foodies know that a restaurant of this caliber doesn't come cheaply. The atmosphere is quite upper-crust, so don't expect anything casual at this award-encrusted eatery.

West of the Strip, the slightly more casual Rosemary's Restaurant wins raves from tourists and locals. Its chef once worked with Emeril Lagasse, and the food at Rosemary's has a Southern slant. Tucked into an unassuming shopping mall in the Vegas suburbs, Rosemary's requires a bit of a drive that most people agree is well worth it.

Both Andre's and Alize are the creations of Las Vegas chef Andre Rochart. Romantic, intimate, and offering excellent food, these restaurants are favorites for romantic dinners.
