One of the great things about Las Vegas is that the Strip is close to the airport, but if you're looking for hotels closest to McCarren International, check on hotels at the south end of the Strip and along Paradise Road. Plenty of chain hotels line Paradise Road, catering to the business traveler who would rather do without a casino, but you'll find a few Vegas hotel casinos mixed among them.
The Hard Rock is one of Las Vegas' trendiest hotel casinos, perfect for the traveler who would like to enjoy a taste of Vegas without battling traffic and crowds on the Strip. The Hard Rock consistently attracts celebrities, and its rock 'n roll theme means that you can expect a good selection of concerts.
At one time the Las Vegas Hilton was home to Elvis, but today this older property stays in the Las Vegas scene with great room rates and consistently good service. Just off the Strip, this older Vegas hotel is a terrific value and right down the street from the airport.
The MGM is a huge casino, with a premier location at the far south end of the Las Vegas Strip. Another hotel with a large concert venue, the MGM also has a large array of restaurants, bars, and lounges. It's also at the end of the Las Vegas Monorail line.
At the far south end of the Strip, the Mandalay Bay's relaxing and elegant tropical setting welcomes its guests, and a tram conveniently links it to the Excalibur and Luxor.
