Finding things to do on the Las Vegas Strip is as easy as walking down Las Vegas Boulevard. Things to do are everywhere on the Strip, so much so that a visitor can almost be overloaded with options-street performers, volcanoes, pirates-and that's before you go inside a single hotel casino.
A must-see in Vegas is the Bellagio's Fountains. The dancing waters have become a Las Vegas icon, and every visitor should see the free show at least once. Two other free curb-side shows, the Mirage's volcano and the TI's Sirens and Pirates, make explosions very entertaining.
Inside the hotels, visitors will find large casinos, restaurants, and stage shows. The last big production show with an abundance of showgirls, Jubilee!, is at Bally's. At one time, you could see several shows like Jubilee!, but Vegas shows have changed. Seven Cirque du Soleil shows can be found in Vegas-a combination of acrobatics, theater, and fantasy.
Thrill rides, shopping, and animal exhibits offer family-friendly things to do on the Strip. At the New York-New York, riders can zoom around the outside of the mini-Big Apple. Caesars Palace's Forum Shops has more than just shops. "Talking" statues, an aquarium, restaurants, and bars give you plenty to see and do, even if you don't buy a thing.
The Las Vegas Mob Experience is, appropriately, at one of the last Old Vegas hotel casinos, the Tropicana. This interactive exhibit details the history of the Mob's years in Las Vegas via exhibits, actors, and cool technology.
