Top 10:

Kid-friendly Things to Do in Las Vegas

  • The Best of NileGuide
  • You could leave the children at home while you play with Lady Luck in Las Vegas, or you could bring the kids with you. You'll find plenty to do between exploring wildlife habitats and riding roller coasters. Hiking trails, museum, and national landmarks are also a short drive from the Strip. With so many things to see and do, you may leave Lady Luck waiting.

At the Mandalay Bay, the Shark Reef exhibit invites you to wander through the "tropics" and learn about exotic fish, reptiles, and--of course, sharks. The hands-on stingray exhibit is popular, and where else can you watch someone feeding jelly fish under a black light? Not far away, the MGM Lion Habitat lets you get a look at these beautiful animals, and best of all, the exhibit is free. At the Mirage, you can see dolphins and the animals of Siegfried and Roy--tigers, elephants, and lions. These are all small-scale exhibits, so families can usually take in more than one in a day, budget permitting.

GameWorks and the Sahara's Cyber Speedway are fun for anyone who loves arcades and fast rides. Outside of town and away from the Strip, families can take in some history at Hoover Dam, or explore the desert in Red Rock Canyon.

For quirky and unusual history that older kids will appreciate, visit the Atomic Testing Museum. The history of the atomic bomb and the Cold War is presented with artifacts and recreations.
