  • You can bet on one thing in Las Vegas: you're sure to find a hotel you'll like. Whether you're looking for luxury or budget accommodations, Las Vegas has a place for you to stay. On the Strip, elaborately themed mega-hotel casinos offer visitors every amenity. Downtown, the hotels echo an earlier Vegas era. Off the Strip, neighborhood hotels give visitors an option away from the crowds.

Perhaps the most well-known hotel--courtesy of its high-tech dancing fountains--is the Bellagio. The Dunes once sat on this corner, and Las Vegas has its first big implosion to destroy the Dunes so the sleek, elegant Bellagio could be built.

Bally's Las Vegas, right across the street from the Bellagio, is a classic Vegas hotel that has kept itself in shape over the years. It's home to the last of the big production shows, Jubilee, and it offers reasonable on its rooms. In downtown Las Vegas, the Golden Nugget will also be easier on your wallet, although that's only because of its location; the property has been continuously updated to keep up with the ever-changing face of Las Vegas hotels.

Once the biggest hotel in the world, the MGM Grand is a colossal size. Everything from the parking garage to the casino floor is huge. Rooms are upscale, but not outrageously pricey, and with so much space to work with, this hotel is full of restaurants and other amenities.
