• Encore Las Vegas, located next to Wynn, is an all-suites hotel designed to pamper guests in a luxury-soaked environment. The resort is decorated in a red, Asian-inspired motif, with lots of natural light and tasteful artwork. No themes here--unless you count opulence as a theme. Encore and Wynn each have received an abundance of accolades since opening, receiving record-breaking numbers of Forbes Five Star awards.
  
  The rooms are spacious, with a minimum size of 700 square feet, and floor-to-ceiling windows that offer guests great views of Las Vegas. Naturally, the rooms are filled with the best amenities--including things like fax machines and televisions in the bathrooms--along with things you'd expect, like flat-screen TVs, superior linens, and bath robes. The Encore's rooms have a weight/pressure sensitive refrigerator that detects when items have been moved; be sure to ask about this feature when you check in to avoid being inadvertently charged for something. The high-tech rooms also have a remote control for the lights and drapes; guests can always ask for a crash course from hotel personnel on how it works.
  
  Encore's casino departs from Old Vegas casino design with partitioned and sectioned areas to give guests a more intimate vibe. The shopping area is home to upscale retailers, and the spa offers the complete pampering you would expect from a resort of this caliber. Guests can choose from several restaurants on site at Encore and right next door at the sister property of Wynn. You won't find much in the way of quick, cheap eats here, but you will find award-winning food.
  
  Encore Las Vegas is home to the trend-setting Encore Beach Club and XS nightclub. The pool area has two pools, and Encore has embraced the New Vegas pool club standards of giving guests the options of European bathing (translation: topless), exclusive cabana rentals (your personal mini-cottage for the day), and food service.
  
  Accommodations like this don't come cheaply, but most Las Vegas Strip hotels are offering discounts these days. Encore won't ever be a budget selection, but ask at booking about deals, and you may be surprised.
