NileGuide Expert tip:
Conveniently located close to the Las Vegas Convention Center and the Las Vegas Monorail.
Description:
- The Las Vegas Hilton sits just east of the Las Vegas Strip, in a terrific location that's close but not too close to action on the Strip. It's an older hotel, but it is a Hilton, so it wears its age well. The casino is "Old Vegas" size, meaning you don't need a map to figure out where you are--and if you're in Las Vegas for a convention, you can't stay any closer to the Las Vegas Convention Center.
The Hilton offers all types of rooms, from standard hotel rooms to suites. The property may be older, but renovations have kept the rooms updated. Ask about room upgrades and deals--the Hilton frequently offers some of the better values in Las Vegas. Guests can eat on site at several restaurants, including Benihana's; a cafe, a buffet, a deli, and a coffee and wine "experience." The Hilton is right on a Las Vegas Monorail stop, making access to the Strip easier. If you do rent a car, access in and out of the Hilton is easier than at hotels on the Strip--unless there's a major convention at the Convention Center.
The Hilton has a full spa, a pool, a casino with any game you're looking for, and a large sports book. The showroom also hosts headline acts, so check the event calendar if you're planning a visit.
If you're an Elvis fan, make sure to visit the statue and plaque commemorating his record-breaking run of sold-out shows at the Hilton (formerly the International), located right outside the hotel's entrance. - © NileGuide2012

A Tired Hotel

Apparently the hotel is in receivership and going down hill quickly. The staff was friendly, the rooms were adequate, but the neglect was apparent. They still charge a lot because...
