• The Orleans Hotel and Casino is not on the Las Vegas Strip—which can be a good or bad thing, depending on what you like to do while you're in Vegas. For a quieter, less congested  experience that's more conducive to a family vacation, the Orleans is a good option. But if you're hoping to be in the middle of the action on the Strip, you may find the Orleans to be a little too far off the beaten path.
  
  Rooms are basic, but large and designed with clean, modern decoration. Regular rooms come with one king or two queen beds. Four styles of suites are available. A resort fee covers Internet and other miscellaneous incidentals. The Orleans is directed at both locals and tourists, and one of its main attractions is its budget-priced rooms. While you won't find opulence here, you will find good deals on accommodations.
  
  The property's amenities include an 18-screen movie theater, a bowling alley, a spa, an arcade, and a shuttle to the Strip and to the Orleans's sister properties: Gold Coast, Suncoast, and Sam's Town. Dining options are reasonably priced and include fast food and a buffet along with moderately-priced restaurants. The showroom, lounge, and comedy club offer entertainment. Most notably, the Orleans has child care at Kids Tyme for children aged 3 - 12.
  
  Staying at the Orleans does put you several blocks west of the Strip. You may want to rent a car to get around more easily.
