Description:
- LAVO is more than a restaurant. It's also a nightclub, but the partying and dancing are upstairs. Downstairs, diners can enjoy a meal in a tastefully, if darkly, decorated restaurant. Several seats line the side of the restaurant that faces the Strip, and at night diners can get a good view of the Sirens and Pirates battle across the street at the Treasure Island.
A full bar sits just inside the restaurant's entrance. Patrons can wait here for a tableāor if you're undecided on whether to make a reservation, you can stop inside to check out the location and menu.
Appetizers include their signature Kobe beef rice ball, along with Italian standards like calamari and eggplant parmagiano. Entrees cover the standard Italian-American restaurant fare: pizza, pasta, and steaks. The menu also offers lobster and several house specialties like chicken marsala, shrimp scampi, and Chilean sea bass.
LAVO is known for attracting celebrities, and diners who hope to spot someone famous should be on the lookout. The trendy, casual atmosphere is inviting. The music from upstairs, however, can get loud.
The restaurant opens at 11:30 a.m. for lunch, and is open until 1:00 a.m. for late dining. The food is good, and portions generous, but diners should be prepared for high prices. - © NileGuide2012
