NileGuide Expert tip:
Terrific, authentic barbecue at an unbeatable price.
Top Notch Barbecue doesn't have its own brick-and-mortar restaurant. Their humble trailer is usually parked outside of Plant World Nursery (5311 W. Charleston Blvd.), although it can be found at various Vegas food truck events. The lack of four walls (or of tables) shouldn't fool you, however. Top Notch Barbecue's food is good enough that its loyal patrons don't care if they have to sit in their cars to eat. Just be sure that if you're eating here, you're wearing something that can sustain a couple of food stains.
The menu includes pulled pork, ribs, chicken, and hot links. For an inexpensive and filling lunch, their $6.00 sandwiches are hard to beat. Some sides, like fries, are actually served on the side, while coleslaw is served on the pulled pork sandwich.
Like many of the new Vegas food trucks, Top Notch relies on word-of-mouth and social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter to let customers know what's on the menu and where they'll be. Before you head out to try their food, check online first to find out where they will be.
