Description:
Don't miss the chance to take a day trip to Death Valley from Las Vegas. You'll travel through the magnificent Mojave Desert, visit the Spanish-style Scotty's Castle for lunch, tour Ubehebe Crater and visit the atmospheric Furnace Creek Ranch Museum and Rhyolite Ghost Town. And as a special memento of your adventure, you will receive a Death Valley Explorer Certificate!
Your Death Valley adventure begins with a complimentary continental breakfast in Beatty, Nevada, your first stop in the Mojave Desert. Then it's on to Scotty's Castle, where your castle guide will take you back in time. After your 60-minute guided tour of the castle, you will have 30 minutes of free time to explore the castle grounds and enjoy a complimentary picnic lunch served in the grounds of Scotty's Castle.
After lunch you will continue on to your third stop, Ubehebe Crater. The crater is all that remains from a volcanic eruption that was so violent, the volcano itself was destroyed. Then it's on to Furnace Creek Ranch Museum, where you can learn about the history of Death Valley.
Next stop is Badwater, the lowest spot in the Western Hemisphere, at 282 feet (85 meters) below sea level, with a permanent spring-fed pool where you actually can walk on the salt flats. Your final stop on the tour is at Rhyolite Ghost Town.- © Viator2013
